SAT and ACT Test Dates for 2020 - 2021
[UPDATED 9/13/2020] There have been so many changes lately with coronavirus in the college admissions space—so many cancelled SAT and ACT test dates, so many cancelled testing locations, so many changes to testing policies…and now, so many make-up test dates!
Yes, if you’re like most high school juniors and seniors, you’ve figured out that after the dust has settled, you do, in fact, still need to submit an ACT or SAT test score to your dream school: either to help you get in (because test optional does not mean test blind) or to help you win thousands of dollars in scholarship money and merit aid!
Now that you’ve seen the light again, let me help with the logistics. I’m here to provide the information you need to make a plan that will get you in. This year’s testing and application cycles might be tough, so let me help you keep you informed (and fired up for the years at that dream school that are waiting for you on the other side of this chaotic time).
Updates to ACT Section Retesting
The much anticipated policy of being able to retake one, two or three sections of the ACT to raise your superscore—instead of having to retake the entire exam—has been postponed. It was supposed to be available starting September 2020, but in order to increase capacity for students to simply TAKE the ACT (in light of the spring 2020 cancelations), ACT is postponing to 2021. I’ll keep you posted on these kinds of policy changes, so just stay tuned.
Updates to Online Testing
The ACT was supposed to launch online testing on national test dates starting September 2020. Again, due to focusing on adding test dates and increasing capacity so more students can take the test and earn a score, this, too, has been postponed.
