Your Best Test: Likely the dSAT

As a high schooler who resides outside of the US and its territories, you actually only get to choose between the ACT and the Digital SAT (dSAT) in the first place for your college admissions testing.

And based on your answers to this quiz, it seems like the new Digital SAT (or “dSAT”) would be the better test for you to show off your strengths!

Perhaps it’s a logistics thing: maybe the College Board is granting you your extended time/accommodations and the ACT is not. Or perhaps you really struggle with timing on standardized tests and reading in general, and you struggle SO much with it that the ACT is NOT a good option for you—even if it’s been around a long time and we know it well. In fact, it might be worth it for you to risk being a guinea pig for a completely new test (i.e. the Digital SAT!), since you probably won’t have the same timing traps on it as you would on the ACT.

Whichever the reason, it seems you will get more of what you need with the dSAT than the ACT—which generally means getting a higher score, enjoying the test prep process more, and having a better chance getting into your dream school!

That said, the Digital SAT is only your “likely” test.

It’s a very good guess based on a few facts and generalities about you that you self-reported. But if you REALLY want to be certain you’re picking the right test, we need to consider a few other factors.

Luckily, over the next few days, that’s exactly what I will walk you through! So make sure to check your inbox for some super helpful emails from kristina@IvyLoungeTestPrep.com (<— that’s me, the owner/founder of Ivy Lounge Test Prep®!), so you can decide once and for all between the dSAT and the ACT!

FAQ

Q: What if I end up taking the ACT instead of the dSAT?

A: The grammar rules you learn from Grammar Rules for the SAT, ACT + dSAT will still apply to the English section on the ACT. So don’t worry: it’ll truly help you for both tests!

Q: Does this ebook have practice questions and practice sections in it?

A: Nope! This book does NOT have practice questions in it, as there are many other resources for that, including the SAT and ACT websites themselves! The purpose of this book is to help you UNDERSTAND, in record time, the concepts that these other resources are either not very good at explaining, don’t explain at ALL—or explain in far too long-winded of a way.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: Alas, since this is an immediate digital download, no, there will be no refunds. But do you REALLY want to refund in the first place? CEOs have bought this Cram Plan to teach grammar to their company’s marketing teams! Honestly, learning the correct way to write and speak will only help you for the rest of your life, standardized tests or not ;)
