Your Best Test: Likely the SAT

As a member of the class of 2025 who resides in the US or its territories, you are in a VERY cool situation: you actually have the option of taking the ACT, the current, paper version of the SAT, OR the new Digital SAT! No other category of high schooler gets as many options as you!

And based on your answers to this quiz, it seems like the (current, paper) SAT would be the best test for you to show off your strengths!

Maybe it’s for logistical reasons—perhaps the College Board is granting you your accommodations/extended time and the ACT is not—or maybe it’s about hating Geometry and much preferring to do some arithmetic by hand, without your calculator. Or maybe you really struggle with time on standardized tests, but you’re enough of an academic “hot shot” that you’re planning to finish your testing by Fall of your junior year…and can thus skip the risk of being a guinea pig for a completely new test!

Whichever the reason, it seems you will get more of what you need with the SAT than the ACT or the dSAT—which generally means getting a higher score, enjoying the test prep process more, and having a better chance getting into your dream school!

That said, the SAT is only your “likely” test.

It’s a very good guess based on a few facts and generalities about you that you self-reported. But if you REALLY want to be certain you’re picking the right test, we need to do a fair comparison among them…as well as consider a few other factors!

And because you’re in the class of 2025, YOU need to decide this PRONTO. After all, if the paper SAT is truly your best test, you’ll need to start prep NOW so that you have enough test dates before it’s discontinued in December 2023!

Luckily, over the next few days, I’m going to walk you through ALL of this! So make sure to check your inbox for some super helpful emails from kristina@IvyLoungeTestPrep.com (<— that’s me, the owner/founder of Ivy Lounge Test Prep®!), so you can decide once and for all between the SAT, the Digital SAT and the ACT!

FAQ

Q: What if I end up taking the ACT or the dSAT instead of the SAT?

A: The grammar rules you learn from the SAT Grammar Cram Plan will still apply to the English section on the ACT and the Reading and Writing section of the Digital SAT. So don’t worry: it’ll truly help you for all the tests!

Q: Does this ebook have practice questions and practice sections in it?

A: Nope! This book does NOT have practice questions in it, as there are many other resources for that, including the SAT website itself! The purpose of this book is to help you UNDERSTAND, in record time, the concepts that these other resources are either not very good at explaining, don’t explain at ALL—or explain in far too long-winded of a way.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: Alas, since this is an immediate digital download, no, there will be no refunds. But do you REALLY want to refund in the first place? CEOs have bought this Cram Plan to teach grammar to their company’s marketing teams! Honestly, learning the correct way to write and speak will only help you for the rest of your life, standardized tests or not ;)
